Our process

Five steps from your call to a finished roof line

No mystery, no surprises. Here's exactly what working with us looks like. Start to finish.

  1. Inspecting a clogged gutter packed with autumn leaves

    Free on-site walk-through

We come measure your property, walk every roof edge, count downspouts, and look at the fascia underneath. No pressure, no upsell. We want to understand the actual job before we price it.

  2. Close-up of a clean seamless gutter and fascia detail — the kind of line items broken out on every RCS written quote

    Clear written quote

You get a written scope with the gutter, downspouts, accessories, fascia repair, expected timing, and quote expiration stated plainly. So you can see exactly what you're approving.

  3. The RCS truck arrived at a Central Virginia job site, parked in front of a red-roof barn ready to start the install

    Confirm the schedule

Scheduling depends on current availability, weather, material, and access. We give you the expected timing before approval, then confirm the arrival window by phone or text.

  4. Newly installed seamless gutter with corner miter on a Central Virginia home

    Install to the written scope

The crew handles teardown, on-site extrusion, hanger placement, gutter hanging, downspouts, and cleanup according to the approved scope. We protect your landscaping, sweep the work zone, and haul off the old material.

  5. Before-and-after split: clogged gutter on the left, clean Leaf Solution guard on the right

    Final walk-through

Before we leave, we review the finished work with you, check pitch and connections, and verify downspout discharge. Any requested documentation is defined in the written scope.

Why we install Leaf Solution

We install Leaf Solution products because the lineup gives us different guard designs for different tree loads and roof conditions. We compare the current product specifications and manufacturer warranty paperwork with you before you approve the quote.

Scott, founder and lead installer at Right Choice Seamless Gutters

Meet the owner

An owner-led local gutter company.

The work stays simple: inspect the roofline, explain what is failing, quote the actual fix, and install it the way the crew would want it done on their own homes.

Scott founded RCS in 2014 as a one-person crew with a single truck and a gutter machine. He remains hands-on in the business as the team serves Central Virginia from its Barboursville base.

Common questions

Things people ask before they call

How long does a typical gutter install take?
Timing depends on roof-line complexity, access, fascia condition, material availability, and weather. We confirm the expected schedule after the on-site walk-through and include it with the written scope.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free and on-site. After the walk-through, you receive a written quote with the scope, price, expected timing, and expiration date. No "today only" pricing and no high-pressure sales.
What's the difference between seamless and sectional gutters?
Sectional gutters come in 10-foot pre-cut lengths assembled with caulked seams. Every seam is a future leak point. Seamless gutters are extruded on site to the exact length of your roof line, with seams only at the corners. The difference shows up about year five, when sectional seams start weeping and seamless systems are still tight.
Which gutter guard do you recommend?
It depends on your tree mix. Pine-heavy lots get Xtreme stainless micro-mesh; mixed deciduous gets Xtreme or Evelyn's depending on aesthetics; mostly-oak hardwood lots can usually run New Wave at lower cost. We walk every property and recommend the right product. Not the most expensive one.
Do you still need to clean gutters that have guards?
Less, but not never. Stainless micro-mesh dramatically reduces hand cleanouts but a once-a-year top-rinse keeps flow rates high. Especially on properties with pine sap or heavy pollen. We offer the annual rinse as a small add-on; it takes about an hour for a typical home.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. See our financing page. We work with two consumer-finance partners that handle home-improvement loans for projects in the $1,500 to $15,000 range. Approval is usually quick and most projects qualify for 12 to 60 month terms.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry general liability insurance and maintain the Greene County business and occupational licensing applicable to our gutter services. Proof of insurance and local business licensing is available on request before any job starts.
How do I know if my gutters need replacing vs just repair?
Sagging mid-runs, pulled hangers, water sheeting over the front during storms, fascia rot behind the gutter, or visible separation at the corners usually mean replacement is the right call. If the gutters are .032 aluminum and structurally sound, repair is often cheaper. We tell you straight at the estimate which one your home needs.
Do you install snow guards on metal roofs?
Yes, on every metal-roof job that needs them. Standing-seam and ribbed-metal roofs slide snow in heavy slabs that catch on the gutter and rip whole sections off the house. Our standard metal-roof install includes snow guards mounted in staggered rows above the gutter line plus tightened hanger spacing (18 inches instead of our usual 24). We won't hang gutters on a standing-seam roof in Madison, Albemarle, or Culpeper farm country without that conversation up front.
